Dr Liz Falkner

Liz trained at Charing Cross Hospital, London.  Her parents were Kiwi.  She spent some time working in Infectious Disease.  She came to NZ in 1972 to work at Masterton Hospital.  She had a solo practice for 12 years, then shared with other practices, joining MML in 2009.

Liz loves caring for her long-term patients (plus children and now grandchildren!).  She has always had many Maori patients, and is delighted to have been a doctor with Te Rangimarie Marae clinic for nearly two years.  Has School Cert Maori.

Liz is physically crippled from Poliomyelitis in 1950, way before polio immunisation was invented.  However, she combines medical work with being on the Wairarapa District Health Board.  She loves her family - husband Terry, two adult sons, one gorgeous grandson - and cooking for them.  Has wide other interests, especially handcrafts, Rotary, literature and other languages.
