June Update

Farewell:
Dr Richard Lunz leaves us this month to return to Australia.  While we had hoped he might settle in Masterton, family commitments back in Australia mean he needs to return there sooner than we expected.  We wish him well for the next chapter of his journey.  We are currently recruiting to find a replacement GP.

Appointment Times:
Just a reminder that an appointment is 15 minutes.  We are trying to encourage our Doctors to keep to time so patients are not having to wait for long periods.  Your assistance with keeping to 15 minutes would be appreciated so if you have a number of issues that need to be addressed, we recommend you make a longer appointment time.

Welcome:
This month we welcome Dr Salaeth Deepan.  Dr Deepan joins us from Singapore where he has been living for the last 5 years.  Dr Deepan’s wife and 2 children will join him in due course and they plan to make Masterton their home.  Dr Deepan will take over the care of patients who were previously with Dr Butterfield who returned to the UK at the end of last month.
We are please to be able to welcome another female GP to our team.  Dr Eugenia Ogbah is Nigerian born, Irish trained and has been living and working in the Manawatu for the last couple of years. Dr Ogbah will take over the care of Dr Fatland’s patients who have been looked after by locum GP’s since her departure in December.
